Ultimate Football Hottie Tournament: The Selection Show Part 2

Hi, hello & welcome to the Ultimate Football Blog's Ultimate Football Hottie Tournament! I'm Steve Cook, and this is my latest excuse to post pictures of attractive women & pass it off as writing a good way to kill time during the off-season the only thing I could come up with since every other year-end column idea was taken the newest exciting venture here on the Ultimate Football Blog! Throughout the next several weeks we'll be conducting a tournament to find out just who is the Ultimate Football Hottie.

How does it work? Well, here's a brief description of how this came together, the rules, seeding, and things of that nature:

-Every NFL team will have a representative. The representatives will be connected to the teams either by fandom, employment, or a connection to a player on the team.

-Seeds will be determined by how the teams finished the 2014 regular season, and the brackets will be divided by the NFL conferences & divisions. After the divisional rounds, the AFC East winner will go against the AFC North winner while the AFC South winner will go against the AFC West winner in the conference semi-finals. The same will apply to the NFC side of the bracket.

-The matchups will be voted on by the Ultimate Football Blog staff, consisting of Dustin James, Jeremy Lambert & myself.

Today we will reveal the National Football Conference competitors & brackets.

Arizona Cardinals: Lindsey Smith

-Host & in-game reporter for the Arizona Cardinals & Arizona Coyotes

I've noticed there are a ton of Lindseys, Lindsays & even some Lyndsays in the sports media field these days. That might be my next column if I find somewhere to run it, actually.

Atlanta Falcons: Jessica Alba

-Actress in Dark Angel & Sin City

-#1 on Maxim Hot 100 (2001)

Alba was a Raiders fan due to her California upbringing but apparently flipped to the Falcons a couple of years ago. In her defense, have you seen the Raiders over the past decade? The ATL is known for their bandwagon fans so Jessica's a good choice to represent them.

Carolina Panthers: Brooklyn Decker

-SI Swimsuit Issue Cover Model (2010)

-Actress in Just Go With It & Battleship

Brooklyn grew up in North Carolina and was brought up in the ways of Panther football. Carolina's other famous fan is Ric Flair, but that relationship has gone downhill since he started sucking up to any football player that would impersonate him.

Chicago Bears: Kristin Cavallari

-Actress in Laguna Beach

-Wife of Jay Cutler

This is why I never really feel sorry for Jay Cutler when he has miserable football games.

Dallas Cowboys: Demi Lovato

-Actress in Barney & Friends, Camp Rock & Glee, judge on the U.S. version of The X-Factor

-Probably the most critically-acclaimed Disney pop star

There were plenty of choices for America's Team, but I went with Demi because her mother was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

Detroit Lions: Marissa Van Noy

-Miss Utah USA (2013)

-Married to Lions LB Kyle Van Noy

Are there two more different places than Detroit & Utah? It's gotta be a tough place for a couple of Mormons to adjust to, but at least she can help create education better there.

Green Bay Packers: Olivia Munn

-Former Actress in The Newsroom, Correspondent on The Daily Show, host of Attack of the Show!

-Currently dating Packers QB Aaron Rodgers

Did you know she's dating Aaron Rodgers? That's been mentioned once or fifteen thousand times over the past few months. Which is half as many times as I would mention I was dating Olivia Munn if I was in fact dating Olivia Munn. I am not, at least to the best of my knowledge.

Minnesota Vikings: Samantha Ponder

-Host & sideline reporter on ESPN's college football coverage

-Married to Viking QB Christian Ponder

I'm not sure how much longer the Vikings are going to keep Christian Ponder around as their third-string quarterback, but until then Sam can represent for them.

New Orleans Saints: Britney Spears

-Best selling female singer of the 2000s

-Performed at Super Bowl XXXV Halftime Show & NFL Kickoff Live (2003)

The Louisiana native appeared on a commercial during the Super Bowl representing for the Saints. She also appeared on my wall via poster during my high school years.

New York Giants: Alyssa Milano

-Actress in Who's The Boss, Charmed & other productions

-Inspiration for Ariel from The Little Mermaid

Alyssa is more known for her baseball fandom, but she also appreciates America's past time.

Philadelphia Eagles: Nikki & Brie Bella

-Stars of Total Divas

-Nikki is the current WWE Divas Champion, Brie previously held the title in 2011

The Bella Twins grew up rooting for the Eagles despite their West Coast upbringing thanks to their Philly-born grandfather. Makes more sense than most of the excuses I've heard from Eagles fans that don't live in Philadelphia.

San Francisco 49ers: Alison Brie

-Actress on Community & Mad Men

I was never a huge fan of Community, but I was a huge fan of the GIF images of Alison that came from the show. Even though she's from LA she sides with the 49ers over the Rams & the Raiders.

Seattle Seahawks: Chrissy Teigen

-SI Swimsuit Issue Cover Model (2014)

Chrissy grew up in Seattle and just like everybody else there has become a big Seahawks fan in the last few years. I'm kidding, she seems like the type that actually was on the bandwagon when they weren't good.

St. Louis Rams: Taylor Gorton

-Associate reporter & cheerleader for the Rams

I don't mean to knock Taylor because she's a pretty lady & seems nice, but I'll have a much wider selection when the Rams move back to Los Angeles.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Amanda Borges

-In-stadium host for the Bucs

Tampa doesn't have much in the way of famous fans. It's pretty much Dick Vitale and nobody else. Not surprising since when you think about it they've really only been a decent franchise for the period of time that Tony Dungy & Jon Gruden were coaching. Otherwise, they've been pretty awful.

Washington: Caroline Wozniacki

-Former World #1 tennis player

-Currently dating Washington LB Ryan Kerrigan

That definitely raises Ryan's star profile, and is probably the best thing to happen to this organization in several years.

And now, the NFC side of the bracket!

Now that the brackets have been revealed, next time we will begin the tournament! The AFC side will go first since they won the Super Bowl.
