PS: To help celebrate the release of Dumb & Dumber To (the original is my favorite comedy movie of all-time), we are calling it "JIM CARREY/DUMB & DUMBER/GOOD NEWS-BAD NEWS WEEK" here at the Ultimate Football Blog.....
Buffalo - 9 (5-5) @ Miami - 22 (6-4)
Good News for Buffalo: Your next two games are at home against the Jets and the Browns. There is still a little bit of hope for Bills fans that their team can re-enter the playoff picture with a nice little win streak. That's possible the next two weeks.
Bad News for Buffalo: You are honestly pretty much out of the play-off race now (although, not ALL the way out of it....), and you probably have already won too many games to give yourself a shot at Marcus Mariota. Jameis Winston might be a nice consolation prize though.
Good News for Miami: You are still in the thick of the playoff race.
Bad News for Miami: The Patriots sit above you in the AFC East and I really don't think you're a better team than the other team's currently fighting for a wild card playoff spot in the AFC. Get ready to be disappointed Dolphins fans. Then again, shouldn't they be used to that?

Buffalo Offensive MVP: Bryce Brown (6 carries, 14 rushing yards, 7 catches, 57 receiving yards)
Buffalo Defensive MVP: Mario Williams (5 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 4 QB hits)
Miami Offensive MVP: Ryan Tannehill (26 of 34 for 240 yards, 2 TD's, 114.8 QB rating)
Miami Defensive MVP: Reshad Jones (4 tackles, 2 passes deflected)
Up next for Buffalo: vs. New York Jets (2-8)
Up next for Miami: vs. @ Denver (7-3)
Seattle - 20 (6-4) @ Kansas City - 24 (7-3)
This was a fantastic football game, regardless of which side you were rooting for. These teams absolutely came out and played some physical football for four quarters in a game that really came down to the wire. The Seahawks may have lost this game, but they still look like a playoff team and are still a force in the NFL. You don't want this team to get home-field advantage in the playoffs if you are a fan of any other team in the NFC. As for the Chiefs, they continue to win by playing outstanding defense and running the ball. The Chiefs defense came up with three huge stops on fourth down late in the game to give Kansas City the victory against the Super Bowl champions. KC is a well-coached team with a quarterback who can manage the game and doesn't turn the ball over. They also play menacingly good defense and like I said earlier, run the ball extremely effectively. This team can definitely play with any other team in the NFL. Anyway, this was easily my favorite NFL game of the week this week and when the Chiefs were able to finally put away the Seachickens, I was all like....
Seattle Offensive MVP: Russell Wilson (20 of 32 for 178 yards, 8 carries, 71 rushing yards, 2 TD's, 98.2 QB rating)
Seattle Defensive MVP: Earl Thomas (11 tackles, 1 pass deflection)
Kansas City Offensive MVP: Jamaal Charles (20 carries, 159 yards, 2 receptions, 19 receiving yards, 2 TD's)
Kansas City Defensive MVP: Tamba Hali (7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss, 3 QB hits)
Up next for Seattle: vs. Arizona (9-1)
Up next for Kansas City: vs. @ Oakland (0-10)
Atlanta - 19 (4-6) @ Carolina - 17 (3-7-1)
That's the best way I could describe anything having to do with the utterly awful NFC South. The 4-6 Atlanta Falcons are now in position to make the playoffs. May have God have mercy on us all.
Atlanta Offensive MVP: Matt Ryan (31 of 45 for 268 yards, 1 TD, 91.7 QB rating)
Atlanta Offensive MVP: Matt Ryan (31 of 45 for 268 yards, 1 TD, 91.7 QB rating)
Atlanta Defensive MVP: Kemal Ishmael (6 tackles, 2 pass deflections, 1 interception)
Carolina Offensive MVP: Kelvin Benjamin (9 catches, 109 yards, 1 TD)
Carolina Defensive MVP: Luke Kuechly (11 tackles, 2 pass deflections, 1 QB hit, 1 fumble recovery)
Up next for Atlanta: vs. Cleveland (6-4)
Up next for Carolina: BYE WEEK
Cincinnati - 27 (6-3-1) @ New Orleans - 10 (4-6)
Good News for Cincinnati: ANDY DALTON IS BACK BABY!!!!!
Bad News for Cincinnati: This win means you are still in the playoff race, but you also happen to be in the best division in the AFC. The AFC North is filled with teams that are potential playoff teams and the Bengals have yet to do anything that separates themselves from the rest of the group.
Good News for New Orleans: You lost, but you are in the NFC South so you are still in the thick of the playoff race. Yes, even with a 4-6 record. I know, it's sad isn't it?
Bad News for New Orleans: Even if you get to the playoffs, the thought of you beating anyone has everyone else like.....

Cincinnati Defensive MVP: Vincent Rey (12 tackles)
New Orleans Offensive MVP: Drew Brees (33 of 41 for 255 yards, 1 TD, 100.7 QB rating)
New Orleans Defensive MVP: Curtis Lofton (11 tackles, 1 QB hit)
Up next for Cincinnati: vs. @ Houston (5-5)

Tampa Bay - 27 (2-8) @ Washington - 7 (3-7)
Tampa Bay Offensive MVP: Mike Evans (7 catches, 209 yards, 2 TD's)
Tampa Bay Defensive MVP: Johnthan Banks (2 tackles, 1 interception, 1 TD)
Washington Offensive MVP: Alfred Morris (20 carries, 96 rushing yards, 2 catches, 36 receiving yards)
Washington Defensive MVP: Keenan Robinson (7 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 QB hit)
Up next for Tampa Bay: vs. @ Chicago (4-6)
Up next for Washington: vs. @ San Francisco (6-4)
Denver - 7 (7-3) @ St. Louis - 22 (4-6)
Good News for Denver: You lost the game (and in ugly fashion against a team that isn't even a playoff contender), but you are still at the top of the AFC West thanks to owning the tiebreaker against Kansas City. That second game coming up against the Chiefs has the makings of a potential huge game in the AFC West.
Bad News for Denver: How the hell did you guys lose to the Rams, especially a Rams team that was starting Shaun Hill at quarterback? That is just inexcusable. The Broncos are supposed to be a Super Bowl contender, but they haven't been playing like one the last few weeks. It's not panic time yet in Denver, but if the Broncos keep losing and the Chiefs keep winning....there's going to be problems in the Mile High City.
Good News for St. Louis: This was easily the biggest shocker of the week in the NFL. You just beat one of the best teams in the league and you did so in convincing fashion. You're a well-coached, young team who can build off a win like this. It's CELEBRATION TIME IN ST. LOUIS!!!!
Bad News for St. Louis: You probably just played yourselves right out of the Marcus Mariota sweepstakes. If there was a "bad" team in the NFL that Mariota could flourish on right away, it would be St. Louis. Unfortunately the Rams are doing stupid things like beating the Broncos and are going to find themselves stuck in quarterback purgatory if they don't stop winning.

St. Louis Offensive MVP: Kenny Britt (4 catches, 128 yards, 1 TD)
St. Louis Defensive MVP: Alec Ogletree (13 tackles, 2 pass deflections, 1 interception)
Up next for Denver: vs. Miami (6-4)
Up next for St. Louis: vs. @ San Diego (6-4)
San Francisco - 16 (6-4) @ New York Giants - 10 (3-7)
Good News for San Francisco: Winning this game was important for the 49ers in order for them to keep pace with the Cardinals and the Seahawks in the NFC West. San Francisco did the job and they remain in the playoff hunt.
Bad News for San Francisco: Can we stop with the Jim Harbaugh stuff already? It seems like every week there are new rumors swirling around Harbaugh and where he will coach next season. How about we all focus on what Harbaugh is actually doing THIS season instead of trying to get a glimpse into the future? Now, I know that usually "where there's smoke, there's fire" and there probably is legitimate problems between Harbaugh and the 49ers brass and there is a real possibility that he leaves after this season, but CAN WE STOP WITH THE RUMORS ALREADY? Harbaugh seems to be a candidate for every head coaching job that's becoming available (and that includes my local high school's), even though the guy is currently the head coach of a potential NFL playoff team. We live in some interesting times.
Good News for NY Giants: I don't know how Giants fans are feeling about their Super Bowl winning quarterback, but I know some of them are willing to move on from Eli. If so, you find yourselves in a potentially great position to swap Eli for a high draft pick (a second-rounder maybe?) and draft yourselves the likes of Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston. I'm not saying that's something you SHOULD do, it's just a suggestion. Don't act like you wouldn't want to see Mariota running around a football field in Giants blue.
Bad News for NY Giants: Why am I suggesting you trade Eli? BECAUSE THE GUY IS AWFUL. Well, he's not awful all the time, but when he's bad.....good lord is he bad. Sometimes a guy can get too relaxed in a certain environment and a change of scenery can do wonderful things for their career. Of course, I'm probably just talking out of my ass.

NY Giants MVP: Rueben Randle (7 catches, 112 yards)

Up next for San Francisco: vs. Washington (3-7)

Minnesota - 13 (4-6) @ Chicago - 21 (4-6)
Good News for Minnesota: You continue to be "in" football games, even though your team is lacking a real NFL roster on the offensive side of the ball.
Bad News for Minnesota: You suck. There's no nice way to put it. I could sit here and list reasons why you suck, but I think it would be easier to tell you who your good players are. Anthony Barr and Teddy Bridgewater. Both rookies. Build on them and blow up the rest and hope that Adrian Peterson returns to his old form when he's able to.
Good News for Chicago: Just when I think you are one of the worst teams in the NFL, you go.....

Good News for Chicago: Just when I think you are one of the worst teams in the NFL, you go.....
Bad News for Chicago: Ahhh, who am I kidding? You're still awful.
Minnesota Offensive MVP: Charles Johnson (6 catches, 87 yards)
Minnesota Defensive MVP: Xavier Rhodes (4 tackles, 1 interception)
Chicago Offensive MVP: Matt Forte (26 carries, 117 rushing yards, 6 catches, 58 receiving yards)
Chicago Defensive MVP: Jared Allen (5 tackles, 1 sack, 3 QB hits)
Up next for Minnesota: vs. Green Bay (7-3)
Up next for Chicago: vs. Tampa Bay (2-8)
Houston - 23 (5-5) @ Cleveland - 7 (6-4)
Good News for Houston: With this win over the Browns, the Texans remain just one game out of a wildcard spot in the AFC. Also, J.J. Watt continues to show the world that he very well might be the best football player on the planet. The Texans are a team to watch the next few weeks.
Bad News for Houston: The Texans might be one game out of a wildcard playoff spot, but there are six teams currently ahead of them in the standing for a wildcard spot, including these Browns. This was a "must win" for Houston, but something tells me all of the Texans games are "must wins" if they wish to remain in the playoff hunt.
Good News for Cleveland: Josh Gordon is coming back soon! He was the NFL leader in receiving yards last season and he should be able to put up some monster numbers with a decent QB like Hoyer throwing to him. Atleast, that's what I'm hoping for....otherwise I just wasted a bench spot on my fantasy team for the past 11 weeks.
Bad News for Cleveland: The Browns lost a game at a time when they really couldn't afford to do so. They now find themselves in a three-way tie for second-place in their division and they are easily the worst team out of the four. A few days ago Cleveland was being mentioned as a potential playoff team, however the real Browns have started to show up and it wouldn't surprise me a bit to see them drag as the season progresses. The Cleveland Browns' playoff hopes have likely gone up in flames.

Up next for Houston: vs. Cincinnati (6-3-1)
Up next for Cleveland: vs. @ Atlanta (4-6)
Oakland - 6 (0-10) @ San Diego - 13 (6-4)
Good News for Oakland: You put up a heck of a fight against the Chargers, but once again came up short. You now have a Thursday game against Kansas City, which believe it or not....could be an upset game for you. Thursday games are notorious for being bad due to players still being sore from the short week and the Chiefs are coming off a very physical game against the Seahawks. If you're going to get a win this season, it may come this Thursday.
Bad News for Oakland: You're still win-less and you suck. You're play on the field has looked a lot like...
Good News for San Diego: You won a "must win" game against the Raiders and remain in the playoff hunt.
Bad News for San Diego: You're third place in the AFC West and tied for a wildcard spot in a crowded AFC. Something tells me that when playoff time comes, the Chargers are going to be left on the outside looking in.

Detroit - 6 (7-3) @ Arizona - 14 (9-1)
Good News for Detroit: Even though you lost, you are still in first-place in your division.
Bad News for Detroit: Even though you are first-place in your division, you are also tied for first-place in your division with the red-hot Green Bay Packers. I'm not jumping off the Lions bandwagon just yet because the Cardinals are playing some amazing football right now, but I've got one foot dangling off. Don't let me down Detroit!
Good News for Arizona: You're 9-1 for the first time since the 1940's and you're arguably the best team in the NFC. Now go out and celebrate.

Up next for Detroit: vs. @ New England (8-2)
Up next for Arizona: vs. @ Seattle (6-4)
Philadelphia - 20 (7-3) @ Green Bay - 53 (7-3)
Good News for Philadelphia: You have Chip Kelly and I still think you're conspiring to trade up and draft Marcus Mariota in the NFL draft. Other than that, there's not a whole lot of good news out of Philadelphia this week.
Bad News for Philadelphia: You just got you're ass kicked by the Packers. I'll be nice this week and leave it at that.
Good News for Green Bay: Ever since Aaron Rodgers told the Packers fans to R-E-L-A-X, the Packers have been one of the hottest teams in the NFL. Optimism and hope from an NFL quarterback?
