NFL Round-Up: Week 11

It's "Thanksgiving Week" in the NFL Round-Up this week. That means it's time to reveal what every single NFL team should be thankful for this week. Myself? I'm thankful for this......

Seriously though. If you're a big fan of television shows like myself, I highly recommend catching up on season two of Fargo. The show has been absolutely incredible this season and is easily one of the best seasons of any television show ever (this season is currently tracking a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes). There are four episodes left and you should get caught up while you can. Trust me when I say, you won't be disappointed. You'll actually probably send me a gift as a reward for telling you about it. ::insert thumbs up emoji::

Anyway, it's time to talk about some football.......

So................

Sit back........

Grab a beer............

Put the kids outside...........

Tell the wife to leave you alone.........

IT'S TIME............................................

NFL Round-Up

Week 11

The Scoreboard
(A recap of all the action from the past week in the NFL....)

*Due to time restraints, the Monday Night Football games are not included in The Scoreboard

Tennessee Titans (2-8): 13    Jacksonville Jaguars (4-6): 19

The Tennessee Titans Should Be Thankful For:

The Jacksonville Jaguars Should Be Thankful For: Not having to wear those "GOLD RUSH" uniforms they wore on Thursday on a weekly basis. Good god those things were hideous. The Jaguars should also be thankful that they play in the AFC South because playing in the worst division in football means that Jacksonville is still very much in the playoff hunt, despite having a losing record. AFC SOUTH BABY!!!

Oakland Raiders (4-6): 13     Detroit Lions (3-7): 18

The Oakland Raiders Should Be Thankful For: The first half of the season when they looked like a good football team, because lately? Yeesh. Just when people started to give Oakland some compliments and suggested the possibility of them making a playoff run, they started to shit the bed. See. This is why you can't have nice things Raiders fans.

The Detroit Lions Should Be Thankful For: The last few weeks, because don't look now...but these once win-less Detroit Lions are on a little win streak of their own now. First they beat the Packers last week in what was a huge upset and this week they beat the up-and-coming Raiders. Don't look now folks, but the Lions have arrived. Apparently they were just a little late to the party.

Indianapolis Colts (5-5): 24     Atlanta Falcons (6-4): 21

The Indianapolis Colts Should Be Thankful For: Old guys. When Andrew Luck went down with an injury, it was panic time in Indianapolis (even though Luck wasn't playing great football, he's still Andrew Luck and gives the Colts a better shot than most teams when he plays). Not so fast my friend! Thanks to the likes of veterans Matt Hasselbeck, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Frank Gore....the Colts picked up the win and continue to hold a grasp on first place in the AFC South along with the Texans. The Colts looked abysmal to start out the season, but they are getting hot at just the right time.

The Atlanta Falcons Should Be Thankful For: They way they started out the season....because they have been awful lately. After starting out the season 5-0, the Falcons have gone 1-4 in their last 5 games and things don't look like they will be improving anytime soon. I'm not going to say I saw this one coming but....

New York Jets (5-5): 17      Houston Texans (5-5): 24

The New York Jets Should Be Thankful For: Their losing streak. Why? Because this team is still far from being a legit contender. Yes, what they did to start out the season was impressive and everything, but the Jets have fallen back down to Earth and we are finally seeing what they truly are....a mediocre football team. If the Jets continue to lose, they can continue to build this thing up. It's better for New York to get a higher draft pick than it is for them to grab a playoff spot with an 8-8 record and lose in the first-round. Which is exactly what would happen.

The Houston Texans Should Be Thankful For: WIN STREAKS BABY! Don't look now, but the Houston Texans are on fire! Who would have predicted a month ago that the Houston Texans would be in the playoff hunt after consecutive wins over the Bengals and the Jets...two teams that looked REALLY good to start out the season? While I'm still not entirely sold on the Texans actually being this good, I'm not going to be the one to tell them that. Have you seen J.J. Watt? That guy could probably kill me using just his eyes....

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5): 45    Philadelphia Eagles (4-6): 17

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Should Be Thankful For:

The kid may not win any "Good Samaritan" awards, but one thing is clear, Jameis Winston is a damn good quarterback. You want some proof? Well, he has the Buccaneers right in the thick of the playoff race and he just threw for 5 touchdowns against the Eagles. I'll take Winston on my NFL team any day.

The Philadelphia Eagles Should Be Thankful For: The Eagles should be thankful that they play in the NFC East. It's for that reason and no other that the Eagles are still in the playoff race. Now, if they can just figure out how to start winning NFL games and things will be alright in Philly after all. I can't wait for Chip Kelly to leave the Eagles and join Tennessee this off-season....

Denver Broncos (8-2): 17    Chicago Bears (4-6): 15

The Denver Broncos Should Be Thankful For:

Everyone is sitting around all worried about what the Denver Broncos are going to do now that Peyton Manning is done, meanwhile Brock Osweiler and the Broncos were apparently sitting on something even better than they had on display. I'm not ready to sit and crown Osweiler as the next best thing after having just one fantastic game against Chicago (20 of 27 for 250 yards, 2 TD's, 127.1 QB rating), but things are looking better in Denver than they were last week. That's for sure.

The Chicago Bears Should Be Thankful For: Adam Gase. The guy is one of the best offensive coordinators in the league and has really transformed this Chicago offense this year. While it's still far from perfect, the offense is what has kept the Bears from being as bad as some people thought they were going to be this season.

St. Louis Rams (4-6): 13    Baltimore Ravens (3-7): 16

The St. Louis Rams Should Be Thankful For:

Duh.

The Baltimore Ravens Should Be Thankful For: Medical insurance. The 2015-16 Baltimore Ravens could very well go down as the most injured team in NFL history. First, they lose their first-round draft pick Breshad Perriman for pretty much the season (the guy still hasn't played a snap). Then they lost Terrell Suggs, who is basically the quarterback of their defense. Then things got really bad when Steve Smith Sr. got injured. But, hold your horses people! Now the Ravens have also lost JUSTIN FORSETT AND JOE FLACCO! Man. I don't know what the Ravens did to piss of the football gods, but they had better hope and pray for some forgiveness. That #1 overall draft pick sure is sounding good though, right Ravens fans?

Dallas Cowboys (3-7): 24    Miami Dolphins (4-6): 14

The Dallas Cowboys Should Be Thankful For:

The Miami Dolphins Should Be Thankful For:

It'll never happen, but if the Miami Dolphins were a smart football organization, they would open up the bank and throw the vault at Stanford head coach David Shaw this off-season to become their new head coach. Shaw is a Jim Harbaugh protege who is tailor-made for the NFL. I personally think he's the best NFL head coach prospect in the college game (Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin is a close second) and the Dolphins could do A LOT worse than look his way. Miami fans have suffered long enough. Let's give them someone who is smart enough to potentially take down the juggernaut that is Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.

Washington Redskins (4-6): 16    Carolina Panthers (10-0): 44

The Washington Redskins Should Be Thankful For:

YOU LIKE THAT? Unfortunately for the Redskins, that Kirk Cousins explosion of excitement will probably be the highlight of their season...but at least it was a funny one.

The Carolina Panthers Should Be Thankful For: BEING UNDEFEATED! Cam Newton and company once again come out and stomp their competition, yet the doubters still continue to hate. Keep on hating though people. Newton will be the one getting the last laugh.

Green Bay Packers (7-3): 30    Minnesota Vikings (7-3): 13

The Green Bay Packers Should Be Thankful For
:

C'mon now.

The Minnesota Vikings Should Be Thankful For:

He may not be the best human being in the world, but there's no doubt in my mind that Adrian Peterson's return to Minnesota is one of the reasons the Vikings are as good as they are this season. Even though they got their asses handed to them by their division rival, I still have hope for this Minnesota team and Peterson is a big reason why. He's currently the league leader in rushing (1,006 yards so far this season) and he's showing that when you team him up with a good quarterback like Teddy Bridgewater and a pretty good defense...good things can happen. The Vikings will rematch the Packers in Week 17 and something tells me, the division title could be on the line. Hopefully Minnesota plays better next time and shows us that they belong on the same stage as the Packers.

San Francisco 49ers (3-7): 13     Seattle Seahawks (5-5): 29

The San Francisco 49ers Should Be Thankful For: I've got nothing.

The Seattle Seahawks Should Be Thankful For:

I don't know where Thomas Rawls came from exactly, but he's breathing some life into a Seattle offense that had become anemic this season. Rushing for 209 yards on 30 carries is impressive, I don't care who the hell you are. The Seahawks really needed someone on the offensive side of the ball to step up and it looks like that player could be Rawls. Marshawn Lynch has been highly disappointing this season (currently ranked 27th in the league in rushing) and Russell Wilson hasn't played that great (although he did play fantastic in this game) and Jimmy Graham is BLEH. Seattle needed this and now it's time to see if Rawls can continue to run the ball like he did against the 49ers on Sunday. If so, Seattle may have just re-entered the playoff picture.

Kansas City Chiefs (5-5): 33    San Diego Chargers (2-8): 3

The Kansas City Chiefs Should Be Thankful For: WIN STREAKS BABY! After starting out the season a disappointing 1-5, Kansas City has turned it around. They have now won 4 games in a row. They have only allowed 12 PPG the last 6 games. And they have the easiest schedule left in the NFL. Don't look now, but I'm buying all sorts of "Chiefs making the playoffs" stock and that's surprising considering I was calling for Andy Reid's head just a month ago.

The San Diego Chargers Should Be Thankful For:

Cincinnati Bengals (8-2): 31     Arizona Cardinals (8-2): 34

The Cincinnati Bengals Should Be Thankful For:

The Cincinnati Bengals need a win in the worst kind of way to wash out the stink of the past two weeks. Enter the St. Louis Rams! The Rams are an absolute disaster right now (such a shame to because they are a talented roster) and the Bengals should crush them this weekend. Congratulations Cincy. The NFL just gave you an early Christmas present.

The Arizona Cardinals Should Be Thankful For:

Not only is Bruce Arians supposedly a really cool guy, but he's also one hell of a football coach. Since the Cardinals hired Arians, they have been at or around the top of the NFL's pecking order. They might be the best team in the NFC (sorry Carolina) and it wouldn't shock me at all to see a Super Bowl title ending up in Arizona this season. There, I said it. Sorry if I just jinxed you like I did to the Baltimore Ravens this season.
