2016 College Football Head Coach Power Rankings (FBS Independents)

College football season is getting close people. With the NFL Draft in the rear-view window, spring games everywhere happening, and with summer time right around the corner....it's almost time to start getting HYPED about the return of college football season.

But we still have a few months left before the season arrives, so we are left scrambling for things to talk about. Have no fear though. Why?

BECAUSE THE ULTIMATE SPORTS BLOG'S COLLEGE FOOTBALL HEAD COACH POWER RANKINGS HAVE RETURNED!

That's right! Just like we did one year ago, it's once again time to rank every single college football head coach by conference.

Who is the best head coach in the SEC?

Who is the best head coach in the PAC-12?

Who is the best head coach in the ACC?

All those questions will be answered in this two-week feature.

So, why are we power ranking the head coaches? Because the head coaching job in college football is one of the most important jobs in sports. You don't think head coaching matters in college football? Look at what's happened at Alabama under Nick Saban. Look at what's happened in the short time that Urban Meyer has been at Ohio State. Look at what's happened in the ONE YEAR that Jim Harbaugh has been at Michigan. Look at what's happened at Oregon since Chip Kelly left.

See what I mean? The head coaching gig is one of the most important jobs in all of sports, but it's especially meaningful in college football.

So, which team has the competitive advantage when it comes to their head coach in their respective conference?

LET'S FIND OUT!!!!!
