Team Analysis: The Denver Broncos were the cream of the crop in the AFC last year and they will probably be the cream of the crop until Peyton Manning finally decides to hang up his cleats. Peyton Manning will be throwing 58 TD's a year until he's 63 (take that Drew Brees) and as long as he is, the Broncos will be somewhere around the AFC Championship picture. It's not like Manning does it alone though. John Elway and the upper brass in Denver have done a solid job of putting some nice pieces around Peyton. Manning has a good core of WR's to throw to in Demaryius Thomas, Wes Welker, and Emmanuel Sanders (who comes over from the Steelers). He also has some guy named Julius Thomas, who exploded last season and has fantasy football owners everywhere drooling. This offense is going to put up a lot of points and if you haven't done your fantasy football draft, you could do a lot worse than drafting someone from the Broncos.

We all know football isn't all about offense though, but Denver isn't exactly lacking in the defense department. The Broncos added three significant pieces in the off-season that they are hoping will help put them over that edge and help them compete with the likes of the Seahawks if they meet again in the big game. We all know how that one went last year. The Seahawks were just much more physical on the defensive side of the ball and the Broncos just looked old and scared. Enter DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib, and T.J. Ward. Three guys who immediately make Denver's defense a lot better. The Broncos are really hoping that DeMarcus Ware can return to his old form, as he was cut by Dallas after having a mediocre season. It's kind of alarming when a team like Dallas, who actually need talent, cut a guy like Ware, but if anyone can work miracles...it's that bastard John Elway. Denver's defense was good last year, but it may have gotten "great" with the recent additions.

Did the Broncos do enough in the off-season to get past the Seahawks or the 49ers if they meet in the big game? That's what they are hoping for. Denver isn't a solid lock to make the Super Bowl by any means with a lot of good AFC teams waiting to pick them off. However, if I was a betting man, I would bet my entire life's saving that we will see Peyton Manning and company trying to wrestle the Super Bowl away from a team in the NFC West (barring any kind of injury to Manning of course). Prove me wrong other AFC teams.
