So, with that said, I think it's time to take a look at the ONE unrestricted free agent that every single NFL team would sign if they could.
Who's the one free agent that could turn your favorite NFL team's fortunes around next year?
Von Miller?
Josh Norman?
Kirk Cousins?
Doug Martin?
Alshon Jeffery?
Only one way to find out......
AFC East
Buffalo Bills - Muhammad Wilkerson (DE)
The Bills need to give Rex Ryan a new defensive end who is able to play five technique. Buffalo currently has Mario Williams and Jerry Hughes as their defensive ends, but Williams' play has dropped off so significantly that he likely won't be back next season. Wilkerson would instantly give the Bills some depth and one of the best players in the league at that position.
Miami Dolphins - Von Miller (OLB)
It's no secret that the Dolphins need linebackers. They have taken some risks drafting them in recent years and haven't had a whole lot of luck. Miller is arguably the best linebacker in the league and the addition of him on that defense along with Ndamukong Suh and the Dolphins might finally be able to push Tom Brady out of first place in the division.
New England Patriots - Alshon Jeffery (WR)
Tom Brady isn't getting any younger, but he's still one of the best QB's in the league. How about we make the few remaining years he has left in this league as comforting as possible? Brady hasn't had a true #1 WR in forever. Bringing Alshon Jeffery into New England would immediately make him and Brady one of the scariest units in the league.
New York Jets - Von Miller (OLB)
The Jets were one of the surprise teams from this last season and they need to continue building on that momentum. It's no surprise that they need linebackers in the worst way. Putting Von Miller on Todd Bowles' defense is sending shivers down the spines of offensive coordinators everywhere.
AFC West
Denver Broncos - Cordy Glenn (OT)
Denver's offensive line is disgusting. This would fix everything because it's not very often that potential franchise left tackles hit the open market. Whoever is QBing for the Broncos next year would appreciate this.
Kansas City Chiefs - Alshon Jeffery (WR)
Kansas City is one of those teams that feels like they are only a few solid pieces away from being a true contender. The addition of Alshon Jeffery on that offense would give Alex Smith another big target to throw to opposite Jeremy Maclin. KC's weakness is its offense and they are going to need all the help they can get.
Oakland Raiders - Josh Norman (CB)
The Raiders feel like they are on their way up. They are only a few pieces away from potentially breaking their over decade long playoff drought. It was pretty obvious to Raiders fans what their biggest need on-the-field is if you watched any Raider games last year. The secondary. It was atrocious. If the Raiders somehow found a way to bring in Josh Norman (one of the best corners in the league), everyone would probably have Oakland as a playoff team next year. Not bad, huh?
San Diego Chargers - Cordy Glenn (OT)
San Diego's offensive line is disgusting. Philip Rivers isn't getting any younger and needs as much protection as possible. This one makes sense in more ways than you think.
AFC North
Baltimore Ravens - Josh Norman (CB)
The Ravens were one of the most disappointing teams of the 2015 season. One of those reasons why? They were absolutely awful in the secondary. They only picked off six passes all-year and allowed a TEAM RECORD for touchdown passes allowed. You think that crap is happening with Josh Norman around? Please.
Cincinnati Bengals - Von Miller (OLB)
Cincinnati is one of the most well constructed teams in the NFL. They don't have a whole lot of weaknesses outside of linebacker and cornerback. Something tells me that Bengals fans would be extremely pleased with the addition of either Von Miller or Josh Norman this off-season. Maybe that's what Cincinnati needs to get that playoff curse off their back?
Cleveland Browns - Kirk Cousins (QB)
We have a shocker here folks. But yep, you guessed it. The Cleveland Browns need a QB! What are they getting if they somehow found a way to bring Kirk Cousins in? Who knows? However, Cousins played good enough in Washington last season that he definitely deserves another starting job in the NFL in 2015. The QB position doesn't see a ton of good free agents hit the open market. Even though Cousins is far from being the best QB in the league, he's easily the best QB in free agency in my eyes.
Pittsburgh Steelers - Josh Norman (CB)
Pittsburgh needs secondary help in the worst way. It's been a long time since they have invested good money into one of the most important positions in the NFL. The thought of Norman in black and yellow is enough to give NFL fans nightmares.
AFC South
Houston Texans - Kirk Cousins (QB)
Remember how the Houston Texans looked in the playoffs against the Kansas City Chiefs? Remember how awful Brian Hoyer was in that game? What if the Texans had someone who was competent behind center? Don't you think they would have had a better chance in the playoffs? Ya. Same here.
Indianapolis Colts - Cordy Glenn (OT)
The Colts fell off the face of the Earth this season just one year after playing in the AFC Championship. Why? Because they once again failed to protect the most important position on-the-field. Andrew Luck's play this season took a turn for the worst and I'm officially worried for his future. You know how you fix a broken QB? BY GIVING HIM PROTECTION! The Colts NEED offensive line help and they've NEEDED offensive line help since Luck arrived in the league. Get your shit together Indy and figure this out before you ruin one of the best young QB prospects we've ever seen.
Jacksonville Jaguars - Von Miller (OLB)
The Jaguars feel like one of those teams that are just a few pieces away from popping. One of their biggest problems though is they need to add some help on the defensive side of the ball. The addition of Von Miller would instantly give the Jaguars one of the best playmakers in the league and might finally be the piece that turns Gus Bradley's defense around.
Tennessee Titans - Cordy Glenn (OT)
Tennessee has their franchise QB in Marcus Mariota. Now they need to help protect him. The Titans have a ton of needs, but finding a franchise left tackle is arguably their biggest one.
Check back tomorrow for the NFC EDITION!!!!
