NFL fans everywhere rejoice!

FREE AGENCY IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!

NFL free agency is a nasty little bitch. It gets NFL fans everywhere excited as hell for no real reason at all. It sells false hope to fan bases and gets people excited for really nothing.

BUT IT SURE IS FUN AS SHIT, ISN'T IT?

Let me explain what I mean real quick though.

The reason that NFL free agency can be a tricky son of a gun is pretty simple. Some guys hit the open market because the NFL salary cap will eventually cause teams to choose between players they want to keep. Let's say your team had a REALLY good draft in 2012 and ended up drafting 4-5 really solid players who all want to be paid now. Well, your favorite team's general manager is now left with the decision.

"Who do we let walk?"

"Who do we re-sign?"

"Will the fan base be upset if we let [insert player's name here] go?"

See what I mean? It can be a real "hair-pulling out" experience for everyone involved.

NFL free agency is also tricky because there's always one or two teams who go all-in on free agents and their fan base starts seeing "SUPER BOWLS" in their dreams at night. Well, when's the last time a team loaded with free agents made it to the Super Bowl and won? It usually takes a combination of having really good draft picks mixed with extremely intelligent free agent signings that result in Super Bowl championships (just ask the Denver Broncos).

So, who's the team that's going to be selling false hope to their fan base this free agency period? That's what this column is dedicated to. The NFL free agency period can be an overwhelming mess with news reports, rumors, and signings coming in left-and-right. This column is here to try and sort through all that mess and just give you the good stuff.
