The Ultimate Football Hottie Tournament: AFC Divisional Round!

Hi, hello & welcome to the Divisional Round of the Ultimate Football Hottie Tournament! I'm Steve Cook, and thanks for joining us for the biggest tournament in the history of the Ultimate Football Blog! We've finished the 1st round, now we're crowning division champions!

Here's a brief explanation of the rules of the tournament in case you're just joining us.

-Every NFL team has a representative. The representatives are connected to the teams either by fandom, employment, or a connection to a player on the team.

-Seeds are determined by how the teams finished the 2014 regular season, and the brackets are divided by the NFL conferences & divisions. After the divisional rounds, the AFC East winner will go against the AFC North winner while the AFC South winner will go against the AFC West winner in the conference semi-finals. The same will apply to the NFC side of the bracket.

-The matchups will be voted on by the Ultimate Football Blog staff, consisting of Dustin James, Jeremy Lambert & myself.

We've already done the 1st round, here's the AFC & NFC results! Now we're moving on to the divisional round...

AFC East

Our first matchup pits one of the NFL's most famous fans against one of the NFL's most famous player wives.

#1 New England Patriots: Maria Menounos

#3 Miami Dolphins: Lauren Tannehill

Jeremy Lambert: Tannehill might have a slight edge in hotness, but she loses points for being attached to a player on the team. Maria is not only hot, but she's an extremely loyal Patriots fan.

Dustin James: Maria Menounos - This was a close one. Tannehill had the lead up until Menounos beat her out by a nose. Is there a re-match clause anywhere because we need to see it.

Steve Cook: Two rounds & two unanimous decisions for Maria Menounos. She's starting to emerge as a favorite to win the whole thing...

Maria Menounos advances 2-0

AFC North

Possibly the most well-known person in this contest takes on probably the least well-known person left.

#4 Cleveland Browns: Sara Carnes

#3 Baltimore Ravens: Stacy Keibler

Jeremy Lambert: I fell in love with Sara Carnes in the first round and I'm going to keep the upset train going here. She has to cover Browns games, she deserves to win something in life.

Dustin James: Stacy Keibler - Looks like old Sara Carnes just got jobbed out like she was Barry Hardy or Duane Gill on WWF Superstars (old 1990's WWF references rock!!!!)

Steve Cook: This was a good showing for Sara and I hope to see a lot more of her in the future, but I can't vote her over Miss Hancock. Cleveland is used to losing things to Baltimore by now so I don't think they'll be too heartbroken over this.

Stacy Keibler advances 2-1

AFC South

It's Sports Illustrated vs. Lizzie McGuire in this one. It's also the only #1 vs. #2 matchup on this side of the bracket.

#1 Indianapolis Colts: Ariel Meredith

#2 Houston Texans: Hilary Duff

Jeremy Lambert: Hilary Duff by a landslide. Meredith will be cheering for another team next year, depending on where Hakeem Nicks signs.

Dustin James: Ariel Meredith - Going off just looks alone, I'm taking Meredith. Duff gets hurt this round by the fact that she was in "Cheaper By The Dozen". I absolutely hated that movie.

Steve Cook: If I knew for sure that Nicks was going back to the Colts I think Meredith would have been the easy choice here. I don't think she has any other connection to them, and I think Disney needs a representative in the next round more than Sports Illustrated does. Duff might be going through with her divorce now according to TMZ, which ups her stock big time in my book. How ya doin, Hilary?

Hilary Duff advances 2-1

AFC West

Our final matchup pits an Olympic gold medalist against somebody that once knew Hugh Hefner.

#1 Denver Broncos: Lindsey Vonn

#3 San Diego Chargers: Kendra Wilkinson

Jeremy Lambert: I would've voted for Kendra in the last round if she wasn't up against Dustin James, who was robbed. I'm a big fan of Kendra, especially her work on film. I hope she does more films in the future because I'm not sure what else she's doing in life.

Dustin James: Lindsey Vonn - I was going to take Kendra, but the Tiger Woods/gold medal factor is too strong here.

Steve Cook: I'm going to go with Vonn for two reasons:

1. She's an Olympic gold medalist. I'm not sure what Kendra's most known for. Dating Hugh Hefner? That doesn't compare.

2. She's gotten Tiger Woods to settle down. Kendra's hubby hooked up with a transsexual.

Lindsey Vonn advances 2-1

Here's the updated bracket!
